My name is Marina St. Mark and I'm a model, BDSM performer and educator in Los Angeles. My adventures on this unusual and exciting road began when, in the immortal words of Anais Nin, "...the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
One of the first steps I took was to apprentice with some of the amazing folks of Threshold, the oldest lifestyle BDSM organization in Southern California. There, I learned how to channel my love for play safely and skillfully, and brought it all out with me into the many clubs in Los Angeles. In 2005 I was approached to take over the position of Headmistress of Purgatory, the playspace at Bar Sinister, where I had the honor of being Hostess to the local and international fetish/BDSM scenes.
Around this time I began modeling for some of the top photographers in the world of fetish and working with Tressa Williams, the incredible designer of Fierce Couture, learning the art of latex clothing construction. In 2007, I helped coordinate Slave2Fashion, one of the main events of the first LA Kinkball weekend, and became a contributing columnist for former Skin-Two editor, Tony Mitchell's, fetish magazine for the web, TheFetishistas.com.
I have since moved on from the demands of running a weekly club but still love to throw events when the mood or proper motivation strikes. I continue to work with Fierce, do my best to help educate the next generation, and look forward to what new adventures the future brings.
